Chrysler Sebring 2007

Chrysler introduced its new Sebring 2007. It is a medium sedan in the US market, although considered large in markets such as Latin America and Europe.

The new Sebring will appear for the first time on the European market, trying to compete with direct rivals such as the next generation Ford Mondeo and the newly renovated Volkswagen Passat.

Marketing of Sebring will begin in the United States at the end of 2006. To do this, Chrysler built a new assembly plant in the state of Michigan.

The design of the new Sebring 2007 stands out for its “heavy” look. The trunk is frankly high drawer type, rather square; while the front is slightly more stylized. The front optics give it dynamism without subtracting formality. Basically, the front of the Sebring is very similar to that of the Chrysler Crossfiresports car, taking its grille, headlights and bonnet features.

Customers will be able to choose between a 2,400 cm3 engine engine with 172 hp; a modest V6 2,700 cm3 of 190 hp and a more interesting V6 3,500 cm3 that develops 235 hp. The 3,500 cm3 V6 is the most powerful and will feature a brand-new six-speed automatic transmission.

As far as safety is concerned, the Sebring includes six airbags, ABS brake system, ESP system with braking assistance, traction control system, and constant monitoring of tyre inflation pressure.

The cabin of the new Sebring has all kinds of chiches necessary for a very consumerist society. We can start with your audio system, which consists of a 20 Gb hard drive that includes the renowned software “MusicMatch JukeBox”. This software allows you to convert the songs from the discs to MP3 format and store them on that disc, which always remains in the car.

The true “touch of colour” is provided by the coasters located on the center console, which can be adjusted to cool or heat the contents of the glasses from 1° to 60° C.

The navigation system is provided by the company Harman Kardon. It uses a 6.5-inch screen with “touch screen” system and the same 20 Gb hard drive mentioned above. The system also features a USB port for downloading more songs or movies, microphone and Sirius satellite radio with Bluetooth technology.
