Fiat presented the image of the new model “Bravo” with which it will replace the Stilo in Europe in 2007. It adopts design features of the Fiat Grande Punto, has a more sporty image and looks very dynamic but somewhat conservative. It will feature nafteros and diesel engines, all supercharged with turbochargers.
Fiat Bravo will debut in the European market in 2007 replacing Stilo. Maintaining similar overall characteristics of size and performance, the new Bravo was designed at Fiat's Style Center trying to make this car more sporty and youthful.
The outer size is quite similar to the Stilo, with 4,340 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,490 mm high. The wheelbase remains equally long, 2,600 mm ensuring a comfortable ride.
The interior will receive materials that allow to improve its overall appearance and improve the finishing details. Fiat must improve the finishes in order to be able to compete more closely with its direct market rivals. The Bravo is equipped with a very good trunk with a capacity of 400 liters, it is remarkable for the overall size of the car and thinking about the competition.
The new Fiat Bravo will be the privileged model of the Italian brand, as it will debut a new generation of engines developed by Fiat. The naphthous engine is the first reference in the new line of engines called T-JET. This four-cylinder supercharged engine with a turbocharger will be offered in two versions, one 120 hp and one 150 hp.
Diesel engines also have four cylinders and turbocharger for maximum efficiency. Options include a small 1,400 cm3 engine that develops 90 hp to the 1,900 cm3 Multijet engine. The Multijet turbodiesel will be available in two versions, one 120 hp and another 150 hp (values equal to those of the naphthous engine).
Another fact announced by Fiat is that production will begin in Italy, more precisely in Piedmont. It is also likely that it will later be manufactured in other European countries.
