The Mercedes Benz B-Class features five versions with different equipment and four different engines, three naphtha-fuelled engines and only one diesel. Other optional ones are three different types of transmissions. The B-Class will be the cheapest Mercedes Benz, replacing the extinct A-Class.
If you look at the general characteristics of the Class B, you could say that it is in the market niche currently occupied by the Chevrolet Zafira, Citroën Xsara Picasso and Renault Scenic. But the reality is that this vehicle is of a higher level. Their real sales rivals, for price only, would be the Audi A3 Sportback and the BMW 1 Series. But you can't really compare them. The BMW is quite small, despite its high-tech.

The equipment of the B170 and B200 versions, both with nafteros engines, is the same. Both feature rebuttable rear seat, adjustable position steering column, power window lifters (front doors), central door lock, air conditioner and CD player. The only difference is in the wheels. The B170 has 15-inch wheels, while the B200 increases the diameter to 16 inches.
The B200 Plus and B200 Plus versions have access to the automatic climate control system and electric window lifters on all 4 doors. Other minor details are assumed. The “B200 Turbo Luxury “version stands out for its sporty look, marked by 17-inch wheels, leather-covered seats, panoramic roof and suspensions adapted to a more sporty handling.
