Presented at the “British Motor Show” (Great Britain), the Opel Corsa 3 and 5-door models will try to expand their share in the European market. The Corsa 3 doors shares its platform with the Fiat Grande Punto. Its appearance and exterior design match it with the Opel Astra, especially because of the emphasis placed on achieving an economical but sporty vehicle.

The interior is small but quite comfortable and has elements shared with the new Antara SUV. There are plenty of gray tones and dim lighting but enough to enhance your sport spirit. Basically, the interior is simple but there is no shortage of comfort elements available to passengers.

The renovated Opel Corsa 2006 comes with five engine options: three naphthous and two diesel versions. The small nafteros engines range from the modest 1,000 cm3 to 1,400 cm3, through an intermediate 1,200 cm3 model.

While the diesel versions available are two, the first of 1,300 cm3 and the second and larger reaches 1,700 cm3 of cylinder capacity. This would complete the range of engine options for the new Opel Corsa 3-door, although a more sporty version may soon be offered. The latter would be available as of 2007.

After the appearance of the Corsa 3-door, Opel launched the largest 5-door version on the market. This more familiar version emphasizes details that bring practicality, relegating the spirit sport most present in the 3-door version.

The biggest advantage in the 5-door vehicle is the increased load capacity in its larger trunk. It is to be hoped that the user of a family car will require more comfort. In the interior some details change and there are a variety of combinations of materials and colors to choose from.

On the outside changes the format of the rear window and its corresponding parante or pillar. The bounding curves of the windows have larger radii, another feature that differentiates versions 3 and 5 doors.
