History of the Ferrari 125 S

The Ferrari 125 S was manufactured in 1947 and was the first official Ferrari. For the first time a car wore on its hood the now famous emblem of the Rampant Cavallino. Its designers were Gioachino Colombo, Giuseppe Busso and Luigi Bazzi.

Like the Auto Avio 815, the 125 was also conceived as a racing car. While wearing Spider's S , he was a spider for competition. This is demonstrated by the following fact: the 125 was carrying the first 12-cylinder engine developed by Ferrari.

The Ferrari 125 debuted in competitions in May 1947 in the town of Piacenza. The Italian vehicle took a short time to get ready, as by the same year it would win 2 competitions. The first victory came at the Grand Prix in Rome with Franco Cortese as a driver. The second victory gave in the Forlí circuit, this time with Tazio Nuvolari as a driver.
