The Ferrari 225 S appeared in 1951 as a performance-optimized version compared to the current Ferrari 212 Exportmodel.

In 1952, the Ferrari 225 Inter appeared, a coupe carriageway by the prestigious Alfredo Vignale, who had also designed a Barchetta model.

For the famous “Mille Miglia” race of 1952, seven Ferrari 225 S cars participated without good results. The 225 had been moved by its brand-new older brother, the legendary Ferrari 250, which had a larger and more powerful engine.

The Ferrari 225 S played a very important role in the sports evolution of Ferrari, being the step between the 212 and 250 models. Another fact that was marked in history is that the 225 was the first car to turn on the Imola track.
