The CEO of Citroën Argentina, Jean-Cristophe Muñoz, said that the brand's progression has been strong and steady over the past four years.
In 2003, the brand sold 3,500 new vehicles, while in 2006, Citroën broke its record sales record with 15,000 sold units. A dynamic growth, constant and above the evolution of the market. Sales in 2006 of Citroën Argentina grew twice as much as the automotive market.
The Citroën C4, which is being manufactured in Argentina, was very enthusiastic. For this important launch the brand has chosen as sponsor of honor the singer named an illustrious citizen of the city of Buenos Aires, Diego Torres.
This choice is based on the fact that they consider the artist as an Argentine in the world, a national artist who conquered the hearts of millions of people, as will happen with the C4.
This national C4 will also have as godmother Araceli González, a glamorous artist recognized throughout the country.
The C4 sedan three bodies is produced at the El Palomar Production Center. It will be exported to the different markets of Latin America, as well as to Europe (Spain will have this model from the last quarter of 2007).
This quality vehicle with a high technological capacity is a pride for Citroën because it sets many records not only within the Buenos Aires Production Center, but also in the Argentine automotive industry:
He has a record in the local integration rate since the commercial launch. Depending on the different versions and motorizations, the percentage of locally integrated parts varies between 60% and 75%. 80% of these suppliers belong to Industria Argentina. 90% of the production of the Citroën C4 will be exported to other countries.
Thanks to the continuous improvement of its technology, Citroën continues to demonstrate its ability in the world of competition and is emerging as a candidate for the title of Constructors and Drivers of the World Rally Championship in the 2007 season.
The success of Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena in the 27th edition of the Rally de Argentina (in the province of Córdoba), achieving a triumph for the third consecutive year, this time with the Citroën C4 WRC, position this duo as one of the favorites of the public of our country. Precisely this car was present at the stand.
Another model that stood out for its exotic look was the Citroën C6, a huge bicar saloon with excellent design and high level of technological equipment. The highlight of the technological aspect is that it not only contributes to the performance of the car, but also significantly increases the quality of interior comfort.
