The new Volkswagen Scirocco will reach the market in a really not too clear position. It can be said that it really is not so much more than a VW Golf GTI in performance. According to the brand, this car would be the sports car that follows after the Audi TT within the German group. Perhaps the controversial point is that its value is much higher than that of a Golf GTI without providing that difference in return in terms of performance.
Among its market competitors, taking dimensions and comfort as comparative parameters, would be the Volvo C30 and the new Saab. The new Volkswagen Scirocco features a extended rear hatchback cab to provide more room for rear passenger seats. A very comfortable cabin was really achieved.
Keeping a wheelbase of 2,578 mm, the exterior of the Scirocco looks more sporty than a Golf by design and dimensions, as it is 50 mm wider and taller. In addition, the Scirocco is 75 mm lower in total height.

As for mechanics, Volkswagen will present four engines available for the Siroco. One TDI diesel impeller and three nafteros. Diesel will offer high torque, while 4-cylinder direct injection nafteros will have power values of 120, 158 and 197 hp.
All versions will receive the same gearbox and double clutch. However, the 158 hp engine can be equipped with an optional 7-speed gearbox and DSG system.
In addition, the Volkswagen Scirocco will incorporate in its equipment the adaptive chassis control system, which allows the driver to configure the operating parameters to coordinate the damping rebound control with the electro mechanical steering system.
The interior is reasonably comfortable for 4 adult passengers. It has a good capacity trunk for a sports hatchback type, with a load capacity of 292 litres. Perhaps the weak point is visibility, with blind angles and very poor backward by the high headrests and glasses with dark areas.
Its equipment highlights illuminated indicators with new design, CD exchanger and a 30 GB hard drive for the satellite navigation system.
