Nissan presents in Argentina its new Tiida model, a vehicle awarded internationally for its high standards of quality and safety. It stands out for a good interior habitability, high quality of materials, good level of exterior and interior finishing and a perceived value very competitive in its segment.
The Nissan Tiida is a medium car available in two versions: a bicuerpo and a tricuerpo. In both cases the Tiida has nafteros and diesel engines. The dimensions of the Tiida hatchback are 4.200 mm long, 1.695 mm wide and 1.535 mm high. The Tiida sedan tricuerpo is longer, reaching a total length of 4.395 mm.
This new Nissan shares the platform of the Nissan Note minivan and the new Renault Clio. The five-door bodywork is quite high and narrow, especially when compared to other vehicles of equal length and design type.
Tiida can make its way into the competitive market of compact medium sized because of its high standards of quality and good interior habitability. It is built with highly refined materials that reflect the aspirations of the consumer public.
Regarding this new release, Nissan Argentina General Manager Carlos Sucasas said: “the Tiida is the car that will reflect in other segments what Nissan has already done in those in which it currently competes in Argentina. Young and dynamic spirit; for active and independent people, who like aesthetics and exclusivity.”
The brand new Nissan Tiida will be equipped with naphtha and diesel engines. The nafteros engines are four-cylinder in-line, one of 1,600 cm3 and 110 hp and one of 1,800 cm3 and 125 hp power. These engines stand out for the technically advanced, especially for their efficiency between intake and exhaust, reducing friction, noise and consumption
To conclude with the engines, it remains to describe the 4-cylinder diesel impeller of 1.500 cm3 displacement and a power of 106 hp developed by Renault. With this engine the Tiida dCi accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.3 s and reaches a top speed of 186 km/h. The fuel consumption (mixed) gives an average of 5.3 liters of diesel per 100 km travelled.
The Tiida uses 15-inch diameter rims and 185/65 R15 tires. In its equipment it has airbag, ABS and EBD systems, braking assistance, electric window lifters, electric mirrors, central door lock and radio with CD player with 6 speakers.
As a last fact, it can be noted that Nissan Tiida was elected “Inter-American Auto of the Year 2007 ″ by the Inter-American Federation of Automotive Journalists, representing journalists from 19 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean and the United States.
