On August 15, 2006, for the first time in Dutch history, a Formula One car drove on a highway. Red Bull Racing rider Robert Doornbos reached a speed of 326 kilometers per hour on channel A7 that was specially closed for this exhibition in “De Afsluitdijk”.
The tranquility of that morning was interrupted by the sound of a Formula.
