Video of a Formula 1 car on the Dutch motorway

On August 15, 2006, for the first time in Dutch history, a Formula One car drove on a highway. Red Bull Racing rider Robert Doornbos reached a speed of 326 kilometers per hour on channel A7 that was specially closed for this exhibition in “De Afsluitdijk”.

The tranquility of that morning was interrupted by the sound of a Formula. At that time, about the A7 that was closed for this event, the childhood dream of Formula 1 driver Robert Doornbos came true. Doornbos said, “This is fantastic! The last Dutch Grand Prix was held in 1985, and since then that country has been waiting for the moment to recover such a spectacle. This exhibition was a toy to keep hope alive.
