After a first evaluation of the Koenigsegg CCX that culminated in a downturn, an early conclusion was the need to add a rear spoiler to generate greater downforce, since the car was unstable in the curves.

Again, the British BBC Top Gear programme tested the redesigned Koenigsegg CCX, which now features a small rear spoiler that slightly reduces the maximum speed but makes the two-seater safer and more stable. The new CCX broke the BBC test circuit record by marking a time of 1 minute 17 seconds.
