Keeping the aesthetic features that made this car a success, the revamped Viper adds more than something it never lacked: power.
The new Viper went from a roadster to a convertible. It has a base price of $80,000 that places it very well in the market before its competitors, which at equal performance tend to have prices starting close to double the value of the Viper.
True to its original premise, it is simple mechanics prepared for maximum performance. Suspensions are perhaps the point where it shows a remarkable degree of technical progress.
Personally, I believe that the body has slightly lost its purity in the simplicity and smoothness of the surfaces. Moldings and ventilation grilles on the hood interrupt continuity on the surface, while the front optics have a contour consisting of unharmonious curved and straight lines that differ from those of the first Dodge Viper.
