Callaway presents the C16 Speedster, the new version of its sports flagship. This completes the range that already had coupe and cabriolet models. This new sports car incorporates a 700-horsepower V8 engine and its price will exceed 220,000 euros.

Engineer Reeves Callaway forged his own prestige as the specialist car builder who introduced the first Street-Modified Corvette in the 1980s. Now features a speedster, your favorite sports car style.

One of his most remembered works is the Corvette Sledgehammer, capable of reaching a top speed exceeding 400 km/h.

Today, Callaway continues to rely on state-of-the-art Chevrolet Corvette models, although his work is so deep that the car looks completely new. The aesthetics of the car are much more refined than that of the standard Corvette, while the performance is also markedly superior.

To begin with, the entire mechanical assembly is modified, from the engine to a large number of chassis components such as suspensions. We can even point out that the user of the Callaway C16 Speedster can regulate the suspension from inside the car, being able to choose between 10 different configurations to use the most appropriate for each situation.

The engine of the C16 Speedster is the V8 that equips the Chevrolet Corvette C6, although quite modified.

With the addition of a turbocharger, the 6,200 cm3 engine capacity V8 delivers 700 hp power (84 more than the C16 cabrio and coupe) at a low rpm. This engine is pure brute force, with its 660 pounds foot of torque catapult it from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

The modifications to the suspensions are essential to keep this car safe and manoeuvrable, especially at high speeds. Its maximum speed is higher than the standard Chevrolet Corvette. The C16 Speedster reaches a top speed of almost 340 km/h.

The first Callaway C16 Speedster to be delivered to its owner will have a special ceremony, presenting the customer at the traditional Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach, California. From there, orders will be taken to continue manufacturing units.

Each Callaway C16 Speedster is specially finished with details at the request of the customer, as it should be in this class of exclusive vehicles.

Callaway has facilities in the USA and Germany, from where you will finish the cars for each customer. Buyers can choose among other features for the body and interior colours, which are upholstered in leather with handcrafted stitching and Callaway emblems.
