The 2006 Geneva Motor Show surprised with some concept cars and pre-series quite captivating for the public. One of the great attractions was at Bertone's stand . The traditional and innovative Italian design house presented several cars, all painted in orange.
Among the displayed cars shone a re-stylized Opel Zafira Concept and a beautiful (and always current) Lamborghini Miura S.
But without a doubt, the highlight of the stand was the Bertone Suagna Concept. The Suagna stands out for smooth, plump and harmonic lines. It is a convertible based on the platform of the Fiat Grande Punto, with the particularity of being a retractable hardroof convertible. It is a coupe convertible criterion similar to the one Peugeot uses on the 307 CC.
Perhaps one of the most interesting points of the Bertone Suagna Concept is that it houses, quite comfortably, 4 passengers. This is a rare fact in this type of European convertible.
The retractable hard roof was developed by the German convertible specialist CTS.
The exterior design is distinguished by a rather unloaded front of ornamentation, although traversed wide by a deep slit that visually separates the bonnet from the rest of the front and nose. The windshield has windshield well marked by its size and well joined to the hood.
The profile, which changes dramatically with the roof on, highlights a very high waist dedramatized with a lateral slit in the form of a horizontal curve on a smooth rise. In the interior there is no excess of creativity, although there is harmony and good taste in the combination of leather and fabric in the center of the armchairs.
