Chrysler made public the sketches of his latest concept car, the Dodge ZEO. This car equipped with electric motor will be presented to fans at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2008.

The overall aesthetic of the concept combines the typical coarseness of Dodge vehicles with the Japanese trend for this same type of vehicle, especially because of its compact and solid appearance. The front shows a cross grill of the brand highlighting the emblem on the hood.

Regarding the exterior aspect, it can be said that there is a certain familiarity between this concept and the Honda CR-Z concept presented at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2007.

According to Dodge representatives, this new prototype will set the tone for the next generations of Muscle Cars of the 21st century will look.

And this also seems to follow the trend started by Japanese automakers, true forgers of the future of the automobile market. Companies like Honda and Toyota have been insisting that future sportsmen will emphasize environmental care without neglecting the high restations and emotional sensations of sports handling.

The Dodge ZEO concept was designed to enjoy the sport of the future: powered by electric power only. To store power it has a pack of lithium-ion batteries. Thus, sportsmen become environmentally friendly for the first time in their history.

With the batteries mentioned above, the Dodge ZEO offers a range of 402 kilometres.

While it was mentioned that this car allows to enjoy a sporty driving, the brand also clarified that it will be a four-seater family vehicle, more precisely a 2 + 2 four-door.

The dimensions of the Dodge ZEO are 4.390 mm long, 1.743 mm maximum width and 1.290 mm height. Its wheelbase is 2.792 mm.

We will be watching the launch at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2008.
