Ferrari will present at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show a renewed version of the current F430, now called Scuderia. This model will be offered to the market in two versions: coupe and convertible. It features technical improvements derived from F1 and new Pirelli tyres.
While the Ferrari F430 introduced in 2004 already featured notable technological innovations such as the E-Diff electronic differential, the new F430 Scuderia has more technology derived from the developments for Formula 1 .
One of the systems to be highlighted in this new Ferrari is the Superfast, a software that reduces gear pass times to 60 milliseconds. It also incorporates a new integrated traction and stability control system.
According to Ferrari managers, special emphasis was placed on reducing the weight of the vehicle, for which it was decided to use more carbon fiber in replacement of pre-metal panels. This resulted in a weight reduction of 100 kilograms.
The Ferrari F430 Scuderia features the same V8 engine at 90º of 4.300 cm3 although now 20 horses more powerful, delivering a maximum power of 510 hp at 8.500 rpm.
Other new additions are in tires and tires. This new two-seater will have Pirelli rubbers replacing the previous Bridgestones.
The new gold-plated magnesium alloy wheels provide less weight to the whole. Finally, the use of larger brake discs was chosen.
The new Ferrari F430 Scuderia will be presented by Michael Schumacher (seven-time F1 champion) at the Frankfurt Motor Show at the end of 2007, more precisely in September. However, before the official presentation Ferrari already revealed the photos of the new model.
As an extra appeal, the new Ferrari F430 Scuderia will be available in coupe and convertible configurations. The body has no modifications, except for the painting decorated with two silver lines along the car.
