The Juan Manuel Fangio Museum is located in the city of Balcarce, Buenos Aires province, Argentina. The “Juan Manuel Fangio Automobile Museum Foundation” was created by the famous runners Juan Manuel Bordeu and Juan Manuel Fangio in 1986. Its objective is to disseminate the activities carried out in the Juan Manuel Fangio Cultural Technological Center and Automobile Museum.
The Museo Fangio is an Argentine pride, as it is of international category and represents the history of one of the most important drivers in the history and development of motorsport in the world. The museum exhibits racing cars of different eras and sports categories, historical photos, dozens of trophies and the history of Juan Manuel Fangio.
This project includes a real reconstruction of the historical heritage of Argentine motorsport. There you can see pieces such as the 1929 Ford with which Fangio started his career, the car nicknamed “the bold”, which earned him the jump to Europe, and many other vehicles with which he participated in competitions in Argentna.
There are also cars of memorable Argentine motorsport drivers, such as the Galvez brothers, the Emiliozzi brothers, Finochietti and the same Juan Manuel Fangio II, nephew of the five-fold Formula 1world champion.
The Foundation is responsible for highlighting all the facets of Juan Manuel Fangio, who in addition to being an exceptional pilot, always had the behavior worthy of a gentleman. This earned him recognition without borders. Fangio was an entrepreneur and advisor to prestigious factories such as Mercedes Benz.
