Juan Manuel Fangio's nephew, of the same name, was a great racing driver like Daytona and Sebring. In his years of competition in the IMSA series in the USA, he piloted this Toyota prototype with resounding success.
Fangio 2, as he was known, was a teammate with P.J. Jones, a pilot known for being the son of the legendary Parnelli Jones.
Juan Manuel Fangio 2 and Jones left amazing records for the category: + 2 consecutive GTP class championships in IMSA. + 17 consecutive races won + 19 of the last 21 races won
The team led by Dan Gurney won 2 consecutive driver and builder titles.
