Fiat Auto Argentina will present in September the Fiat Grande Punto in the country. Several technological innovations for this model were confirmed in order to increase the level of comfort offered to the customer. The great addition is the Blue & Me electronic system, which integrates communication and entertainment, provided so far only in Europe.

Fiat presents in South America the Grande Punto, with its main markets in Argentina and Brazil. Initially, in Brazil will be offered the car with two engine versions, the “Fire” of 1,400 cm3 currently present in the Palio and another 4 cylinders of 1,900 cm3 and 130 hp power. The latter is produced at the Fiat plant located in the province of Córdoba, Argentina.

Only the most powerful engine will be delivered in Argentina. However, the plans of the brand contemplate the incorporation of a turbodiesel impeller of 1,300 cm3 displacement and a power of around 85 hp.

The measures will be almost equal to those of the eponymous model marketed in Europe. The Fiat Grande Punto is 4.030 mm long, 1.680 wide and 1.490 high. Its wheelbase is very generous, reaching 2,510 millimeters. The trunk has a fairly reasonable capacity - 275 dm3.

The Grande Punto has been redesigned by Giugiaro. The aim was to give special attention to the front of the car, so that it could then give it a much more aesthetic associated with that of the new cars of good standard Fiat.

In turn, this aesthetic is related to the features present in Maserati's exclusive cars.

The interior has also been improved in every way. Its design and quality of materials make this car continue to change the new image of Fiat.

The brand wants to make it clear that it continues to generate cars accessible to the people with reasonable values, but offering ever better levels of interior comfort and applied technology.

Fiat Grande Punto's outstanding technological innovation is its Blue & Me system, developed by Microsoft at the Fiat Research Centre in Italy. This system, already available in Fiat car in Europe, allows the user to make calls by cell phone by smart voice command. You can also take calls via the Bluetooth connection.

The Blue & Me system commands are located on the steering wheel, from which audio equipment with CD player and MP3 files is also controlled. Another interesting alternative is the possibility to listen to text messages (SMS) that arrive on the mobile phone while the user is driving.

This third generation of Fiat Grande Punto is actually the first to arrive in South America. The first model entered the European market in 1993 with the aim of replacing the Fiat Uno.

In South America, the Fiat Grande Punto will be located in a segment between the Palio and Stilo models. The Grande Punto is a bigger car than the Palio but smaller than the Stilo.
