Nissan presented a concept car called GT-R Concept at the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show. Soon, in the same scenario he will present his heir: the Nissan GT-R Proto, which will be released to the public in 2007. Two years Before its launch, Nissan delights motorsport fans with sketches and prototypes of what will be the ultimate model.

Confirmation of future serial production of the Nissan GT-R became effective at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show. And this surprise prototype makes the sweet wait more bearable. For the first time since the release was announced in 2007, Nissan shows a prototype that is really similar to what will be the ultimate GT-R .

On each Nissan GT-R model, engineers sought to achieve a pleasant driving experience for the driver. The goal is to ensure that the self responds perfectly in every situation and that its reactions are predictable. From the first model, manufactured in 1969, the PGC10 to the last R34 of 1999, each member of the GT-R family stood out for its good maneuverability both in everyday use and in high performance demands.

From the outside of the GT-R Proto, the relationship with previous generations of Nissan GT-R can be seen first. Then we noticed fashionable features in today's vehicles. This is a clear indicator that Nissan will try to position it in the global market and not just in Asia. Therefore, we also conclude that its quality must be competitive with that of any European or American vehicle.

Unlike previous editions, this car has a body designed from scratch for its ultimate goal. In previous generations the designs were derived from lines of the brand's sedans. Careful syling communicates in all its aspects that it is a highly sporty and high-performance car. Without neglecting their familiarity with other products of the company.

While Nissan has not disclosed too much technical data about the upcoming sports car, nor about the technology involved, it is good to know that in less than 2 years another sports car will be on the market. From what is known so far, it seems that the 8 years of waiting since the last Nissan GT-R will be well worth the wait.
