Land Rover introduced its new SUV: the Range Rover Sport V8 with supercharger. This vehicle is an interesting yet adventurous combination, as it has a high-performance Jaguar V8 engine, off-road bodywork, chassis adapted to very sporty performance and good interior comfort for 5 passengers.

The Range Rover Sport comes with 2 engines: a 2.700 cm3 turbodiesel V6 and the outstanding V8 supercharged with a volumetric compressor. This 4.200 cm3 V8 has 4 valves per cylinder and a volumetric compressor that allows it to develop a power of 390 hp. In addition, the 56 kgm torque V8 Jaguar accelerates the Range Rover Sport to a top speed (electronically self-limited) of 225 km/h.

To bring so much power to the ground and well dosed, this SUV features a ZF-HP26 gearbox that functions as automatic and sequential, with 6 gears. You can opt for the sequential change sports management program to indulge in squeezing the V8 Jaguar. The Range Rover Sport operates with permanent 4-wheel drive.

The tests of the Range Rover Sport show that it is a very agile vehicle in its reactions and comfortable when it comes to moving it in the city. The sporty chassis configuration and suspensions make it extremely stable at high speeds and in steep curves.

The merit of the engineering that enables such a good ride lies in the so-called “smart” pneumatic suspensions, the Dynamic Response system and the ZF Servotronic steering.

Suspensions work like racing cars, hardening when the vehicle is driving at high speeds and cornering, while softening when the pace decreases or the terrain is very uneven.

The Dynamic Response system then controls the balance of the body and always tries to maintain stability at the optimum level. Finally, the ZF Servotronic steering ensures a very fast response and also softens or hardens depending on driving conditions.

But when the user leaves the pavement... he can rely on the potential of Range Rover Sport. While tires are not very suitable for off-road, the innovative Terrain Response electronic system allows the user to choose between 5 different programs. Each of them adjusts the configuration parameters of the vehicle depending on the terrain to be transported.

Each programme provides for different conditions such as: + Normal, on asphalt or dry earth. + Slippery, asphalt and wet grass, gravel and snow. + Mud + Sand + Stones

Programs are selected from a dial located behind the selector lever of the automatic box. The values of the angles to travel in off-road conditions are: + Attack: between 30.2° and 34° + Ventral, between 20º and 25º + Output, between 24º and 27º

All this cutting-edge technology is immersed in a vehicle well equipped with elements of category and distinction, without neglecting the classic but sporty design. In the interior not only attracts attention the colored screen and the smell of leather, but there is more technology at the service of passengers. Highlights include hemispheric climate control and safety elements such as the 6 airbags.
