Technical excellence. It is enough to know that it is German engineering to understand that it is the fruit of years of development. The Carrera GT was introduced on the market in 2004 and its production was discontinued in mid-2005 due to changes in US airbag regulations.
The Porsche Carrera GT was a bestseller. Porsche announced a limited production of 1,000 cars, which eventually reached 1,270 units. More than half were exported to the United States, leaving only seven percent in Germany.
The Porsche Carrera GT not only stands out for its 605 hp V10 engine, but incorporates state-of-the-art technology such as traction control, 15-inch ceramic brakes and a rear spoiler that rises when the vehicle exceeds 112 km/h.
In terms of aesthetics it can be said to be extremely neutral, meaning it does not innovate but reflects a modern look with design elements that familiarize you with other Porsche models.
An important factor to note is that the Carrera GT competed on the market with the Ferrari Enzo, with similar technical characteristics but much more expensive. While this Porsche was worth about $450,000, a Ferrari Enzo spent $600,000 in price.
