Vector WX3 Concept 1993

Vector WX3 Concept
The Vector WX3 Concept was built in 1993, after the completion of the low production of the Vector W8. It did not have a real production (not even very limited). It is a car always remembered for its exotic design, a power of 1,000 hp (unintended for the 1990s) and manufactured with the most advanced technology of sports motorsport.

The history of Vector cars has a lot to do with not knowing (or being able) defining a potentially successful business. These were ill-focused attempts surrounded by misfortunes and misunderstandings when it comes to promotion and marketing.

One of the reasons that allow us to draw such conclusions is that, going back to the early 1990s, it is difficult to think that a carbon fiber car with 1,000 horsepower and a creepy acceleration has not captured the attention of the environment.

The premise of the development of this supercar was to impact with dreamed performance, while offering high reliability and durability of the product. The technological level was really advanced, just remember that the Vector WX3 incorporated a semi-monocoque similar to the present in the racing cars of those days. This semi-monocoque had an aluminum honeycomb soul similar to that used in aircraft.

The body of the Vector WX3 was mainly made of carbon fiber with Kevlar. So this car kept a reasonable weight of 1,620 kg.
