The Ford Verve Concept presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show takes forward what will be the next Ford Fiesta. Its exterior design shows the features of “kinetic design”, the new design trend of this brand. The Verve Concept shares the platform with the Mazda 2.
The Ford Verve Concept is a prototype that serves as a sample of what will be the next Ford Fiesta. Its beautiful design, by Martin Smith of Ford Europe, derives from “kinetic design”, the new trend that the company presented with the Ford Iosis Concept and confirmed for the first time in a production vehicle at the Mondeo 2008.
This design style is characterized by its curved lines with combined sharp edges that always generate a feeling of dynamism and very interesting movement.
It is clear that the Verve Concept is related to the Mazda 2, as its exterior designs link them without hesitation. The truth is that these cars are similar because they share the same platform.
Although it should be noted that the Fiesta will not keep the exact appearance of the Verve Concept. Most likely, the frameless doors will disappear and other details such as the location of the escapes will change.
Other differences between the prototype and the final Fiesta could be in the taillights. The Verve Concept features LED lights, generally used in high-end cars and higher prices.
It is also likely that the interior design will be altered, although this prototype has a great job at this point. Perhaps the design sins because it is too bold and colorful for a car that must occupy a relatively modest sector in the market.
The overall volume of the body is wide. This model is characterized by being wider than it appears. That feature and some features make it quite visually similar to a Seat Leon.
You can expect Ford to offer, at least as an optional, the panoramic glass roof. It is evident that more and more brands offer this option which is widely accepted in various market segments. The buyer chooses it for the sense of spaciousness and luminosity it brings inside the interior of the passenger compartment.
