Its 626 horsepower and a top speed of 330 km/h make this Mercedes a direct rival of supercars such as the Ferrari Enzo, the Porsche Carrera GTand the Lamborghini Gallardo.
Although it was released in 2004, it was announced as Mercedes SLR McLaren 2005. From the mythical gull wings of the 1950s there is hardly anything similar to the “gull wings”, since the doors do not open from the roof but articulate from the side itself.
Mercedes presents a vehicle that tries to set a new standard of luxury and high performance.
In the technical aspect stands out the V8 engine that gets better performance than a Ferrari 575M consuming less fuel, the supercharger helps achieve this efficiency. The carbon fiber chassis is ultra-light and meets the highest demands. Another detail worth noting is undoubtedly the inclusion of ceramic brakes.
The Formula 1 alliance between Mercedes Benz and McLaren is present both in aesthetic features such as the front of the car, as in the SpeedShift R gear system with Paddle shifts located behind the wheel and in the same Formula 1.
The front-facing engine is a V8 5400 cm3 with supercharger and 24 valves (SOHC). It eroga 626 hp @ 6500 rpm and reaches its maximum torque of 575 lbs foot at 3250 rpm Limit: 7000 rpm
It is rear-wheel drive and transmission is carried out through an automatic 5-speed gearbox with F1 “SpeedShift R” system.
